While there is already a lot of interest in iOS 13, Apple is still pushing out new iOS 12 updates. This continues with the iOS 12.3.2 update that is coming to your iPhone and iPad today. It includes at least one major bug fix for Portrait Mode photos and is only available on the iPhone 8 Plus.

You can install iOS 12.3.2 to test out this bug fix on your device. We have more on whether or not you should install iOS 12.3.2 and if you run into issues you can downgrade to iOS 12.3.1 for a limited time.

This guide to what’s new in iOS 12.3 also includes a look at the new iOS 12 features and how it compares to iOS 11 if you haven’t updated yet.

While this isn’t a major update, the iOS 12.3.1 and iOS 12.3.2 updates include important bug fixes as Apple continues working on iOS 12 with even more updates coming ahead of iOS 13.

We’ve been using Screen Time, Siri Shortcuts and also trying out Waze and Google Maps on Apple CarPlay, but now you get more new features. The iOS 12.3.2 update is free and arrives today for the iPhone and iPad. If your device is on iOS 12, it is a quicker update, if it is on iOS 11 you can upgrade but it will take a little longer.

Here’s what’s new on iOS 12.3.2 and iOS 12 for the iPhone and iPad.

iOS 12.3.2 & iOS 12.3.2 Fixes and Changes

iOS 12.3.2 & iOS 12.3.2 Fixes and Changes

The iOS 12.3.2 update is focused on fixing a Portrait Mode bug on the iPhone 8 Plus.

  • Fixes a bug where Portrait Mode Photos shot on the iPhone 8 Plus saved with no depth effect.

If you skipped the last update, you also get the iOS 12.3.1 bug fixes that were impacting iPhone and iPad users since installing iOS 12.3. Specifically this fixes an issue with VoLTE (Voice over LTE) and iMessage bugs. These include;

  • Fixes an issue that could prevent making or receiving VoLTE calls
  • Fixes issues in Messages that could cause messages from unknown senders to appear in your conversation list even though Filter Unknown Senders is enabled
  • Fixes an issue that could prevent the Report Junk link from appearing in Messages threads from unknown senders

If you have yet to install iOS 12.3, you will also get a number of fixes from that update that arrived in mid-May. These include;

  • Adds the ability to follow a magazine from the Apple News+ catalog browsing view
  • Apple Music’s For You tab now updates multiple times a day suggesting music based on themes like genres, artists, and moods you love
  • Fixes an issue that could prevent Apple TV Remote from pausing video, controlling video, or changing volume on supported receivers
  • Addresses an issue that could cause calls made using Wi-Fi calling to drop
  • Fixes an issue where song information from a connected iPhone may not appear in a car’s display

Apple also includes a number of security fixes that help keep your iPhone and iPad safe.

    If you need TV Parts, or mobile phone parts,you can go to https://www.abctay.com. I sold them in this store. It’s very cheap, and the freight is cheap, and the service is good. Basically, if you

    have questions ,they will answer you.

    I just love the way iOS 12 was designed and developed since it allows a lot of customisations. But now you can enjoy a lot more other third party apps on iOS devices using the tutuapp vip version, download it from https://tutuappvip.xyz/tutuapp-vip-for-ios/

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi, Josh Smith thank you so much for sharing for the great summary. I owned iPhone XS but it’s not working properly, the trending animojis not displaying and sometimes apple pay is not working properly, I’m worried about that, so I’m looking to ios 12.2 models but now I’m happy because ios 12.2 version is released and apple fixed all bugs in iPhones. Keep sharing with us looking for your next article…
