Wait If You Want a Headphone Jack

If you really want a headphone jack with your next phone you might want to wait for the Galaxy S10.

Companies have begun to remove the 3.5mm headphone jack to make room for other components. Devices like the iPhone XS are completely wireless. Samsung might adopt this change down the road, but it looks like it will keep the headphone jack on the Galaxy S10.

According to Bloomberg, Samsung had been toying with an S10 prototype without a headphone jack. Galaxy Note 10 rumors have pointed to a similar change

More recently, leaks points to the inclusion of a headphone jack. Leaked Galaxy S10 protective cases have a 3.5mm slot on board. A more recent report all but confirms the presence of a headphone jack on the Galaxy S10.

Nothing is confirmed, but if you want a 3.5mm headphone jack on your next phone, you might want to hang around for the Galaxy S10 launch.

Samsung has duties. 2019 is presented to them as a challenge and opportunity in equal parts. After insisting two generations with the design in its Galaxy S line, this year it is a face wash that manages to attract the eyes again. In 2018, most already embraced the ‘all screen’, minimizing the presence of edges. And it is something that will not do more than accentuate in 2019.
