Edge Notifications

Another awesome little feature on the Galaxy S7 Edge is getting notifications with that curved glass. Simply turn your phone face-down, on the glass, and when an incoming call or text arrives it will glow a color you can set. This only works with the default Samsung messages application, but works great. I have it glow pink when my Fiance sends me a message, blue for my dad, and so on. It lets users know who's calling or texting without ever looking at the phone, and being face-down it won't distract others. A small section of the screen lights up.

It's neat, but nothing more than a novelty. Head into settings > Edge screen > Edge lighting to customize this. You can even enable a quick reply that's preset by simply touching the flash sensor on back. It will instantly send a pre-recorded text to that caller or message.

Can I also add my spouse to the fingerprint scan? So we’re both able to use the device?

Google Now gets it wrong so often that it is useless. When did you ever hear anyone use it? Never.

I normally do not leave comments, but thank you for this helpful list! It informed me on things I didn’t know my phone could do, such as the SOS feature.
