Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 1.03 Update: What’s New

A new Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 update is out now on PS4, and there is a chance we will see it soon on Xbox One and PC. This is what’s new in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 1.03 update that is out now.

After a successful first week and many hotfixes, Treyarch is pushing out a massive Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 update to the PS4 that brings the Black Market to the PlayStation, and that also brings a collection of bug fixes and changes to the new game modes. It arrives alongside the start of Black Ops 4 2XP weekend.

This is the first major Black Ops 4 update since the day one patch, and it is one that should help solve some ot the most annoying Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 problems.

Black Ops 4 1.03 Update Size

What you need to know about the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 1.03 update.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 update size is 8.9GB on PS4. The PS4 lists this as Black Ops 1.03, but you may see a different number on the Xbox One or PC when this update arrives.

Early reports indicate it is trickling out to PC as a 3.5GB update.

You’ll need a decent amount of hard drive space available to download and then install this update. If you are picking up Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 for the first time, expect a bigger update that includes the massive day one patch and initial download.

The new Black Ops 4 Black Market arrives on PS4 first, with the Black Ops 4 1.03 update. It will arrive on PC and Xbox One in seven days. This includes a host of new items that are part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 DLC, but you don’t need the Black Ops Pass.

• All-New Blackout Characters– New playable characters will be released with each new Operation.
• Signature Weapons
• Specialists Outfits – Cool customization content built around themes for all Specialists in-game; you can even mix and match the look of your character within outfit sets.
• Tags / Gestures – Whether you’re taunting opponents or celebrating a victory, Tags and Gestures are a perfect way to express yourself in the game.

In addition to these items, you will get access to special events that allow you to pick up more in-game content just by playing. You can join the free Halloween Special Event stream and get more gear as you play.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 1.03 Changes

What’s new in the Black Ops 4 1.03 update.

We’re waiting on the official Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 1.03 update change log to appear online. Typically we see a change log posted to Reddit and the Activision support page quickly, but nothing is appearing yet.

On the PS4 the Black Ops 4 Black Market is live and the Halloween Event starts tomorrow.

Based on previous posts we expect that the following Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 problems will be fixed in this update, but there is no confirmation yet.

• Zombies Easter Egg Quests

  • We’re aware of some instability issues currently affecting the Easter Egg quests, and will address these in a major update coming soon. Thanks for your patience.

• Multiplayer Audio

  • We’ve seen some reports of audio volumes in Multiplayer not sounding quite as expected, particularly with footsteps. We’ve passed these onto the appropriate teams for evaluation. In the meantime, please be sure to try out the different custom presets in our Audio settings under Options on consoles to find a mix that works best for you.

• PC Hellion Salvo Crash

  • PC players will currently crash when equipping a weapon camo and Fast Lock attachment on the Hellion Salvo launcher. We’re fixing this in an upcoming update – in the meantime, please avoid using this camo/Attachment combination on the Hellion Salvo to prevent crashing.

• Teammate Names Disappearing

  • Some players are reportedly seeing their teammates’ player names disappearing temporarily during MP matches, making it difficult to tell friend from foe. We’re investigating this as well.

• Xbox One Deluxe Edition Items

  • We’re aware some users are still having trouble accessing their Shadowman and Classified content consistently on Xbox One, even after manually downloading the items. We’re continuing to investigate to see what can be done on our end to solve this.

If you're loving the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout game mode and the specialist filled multiplayer, the Black Ops Pass is the perfect addition to your gaming life. It will add to your gaming experience, and is worth it if this is your go to Battle Royale game into 2019. Even if you skipped picking it up on day one like we did, if you are having fun in Blackout it is looking like a good investment. We now know about Operation Absolute Zero, and will have more details as it arrives today.  It's especially interesting with the promise of more frequent arrivals and content than we typically see with DLC and a traditional season pass.
