The Galaxy Note 5 Will Get Better

There's a chance Samsung keeps the Galaxy Note 5 on Android Nougat but that doesn't mean software support for the device will end.

Samsung typically stops software support at two years which puts the Galaxy Note 5 in jeopardy of missing the next major Android upgrade.

Nothing is confirmed but even if that does happen, Samsung will continue to outfit the Galaxy Note 5 with bug fixes and security patches for the foreseeable future.

Just to give you some idea: Samsung's Galaxy Note 4 didn't get bumped to Android Nougat but it got Samsung's most recent security update.

Even if Samsung misses the next upgrade, you should be able to root your Galaxy Note 5 and flash ROMs that feature the missing features.

Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 is getting older but it should get you through the next few years, even if the major Android updates stop coming.
