Galaxy Note 5: 2 Reasons to Buy & 6 Reasons Not To (2017)
Wait for the Google Pixel XL 2
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 isn't the only big screen Android device on the horizon. Google's rumored to have new Pixel smartphones inbound this fall and one model could be a direct competitor to the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Note 8. A Pixel XL 2 is reportedly coming to replace last year's Pixel XL. Like the Pixel XL, the Pixel XL 2 is expected to feature a huge display and a bunch of other feature upgrades that make sense for an Android flagship from 2017. The Pixel XL 2's version of Android O will be different than the Android O update for the Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy Note 5 but some of you might actually prefer it to Samsung's version. If you can, we recommend waiting for the Pixel XL 2 to arrive so that you can compare it to the Galaxy Note 5 and, if you want, the Galaxy Note 8.
