The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 release date is three weeks away and the Galaxy Note 8 pre-orders start tonight. You can pre-order the Note 8 through carriers, direct from retailers and even through Samsung. There are even a good number of Galaxy Note 8 deals available.

This is what you need to know about the Galaxy Note 8 pre-orders, including how to pre-order the Galaxy Note 8 if you want to be one of the first to get the new Note in your hands.

Samsung confirmed the Galaxy Note 8 pre-order date as August 24th, but it actually starts at just past midnight so you will want to be ready to go sooner rather than later. You can pre-order the Galaxy Note 8 starting on the 15th, and all the way up through the release date on September 15th, which will allow you to get the phone delivered to you at home.

Samsung announced the Galaxy Note 8 on stage in New York City, highlighting the new S Pen features, massive display and software upgrades that make using the phone and the multitasking options easier. The company also announced a new smartwatch and promises a discount to Note 7 owners.

The Note 8 release date is in the middle of September, but you can prepare for the Galaxy Note 8 pre-order date right now.

Galaxy Note 8 Pre-Order Date

The Galaxy Note 8 pre-order date is August 24th at 12:01 AM Eastern. That means the Note 8 pre-order start time is actually 9:01 PM August 23rd for customers on the west coast. Don’t screw that up if you want to be one of the first to order.

You can pre-order the Galaxy Note 8 from Best Buy, AT&T, C Spire, Cricket Wireless, Sprint, Straight Talk Wireless, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon Wireless and Xfinity Mobile. Walmart and Samsung will both sell the Note 8, and may offer pre-orders.

At midnight you can pre-order online, and starting on the 24th, you should be able to go into stores and place pre-orders in person if you want.

At midnight you will be able to place a Galaxy Note 8 pre-order directly with your carrier. You can login to your account and place a pre-order if you are eligible to upgrade. Keep in mind that you may need to pay off your current phone as you place your pre-order.

You may see different Note 8 prices and upgrade options by going directly to your carrier to pre-order the Note 8 rather than going to Best Buy or to Samsung. Another thing to remember is that T-Mobile will sometimes ship Samsung phones early, which means it is a good one to order direct from if prices are the same.

Galaxy Note 8 In Store Pickup Reservations

You may be able to pre-order the Galaxy Note 8 for in store pickup through Best Buy’s website, but we don’t know for certain yet. This would allow you to go get the phone on day one, without waiting around for UPS or Fedex to make a delivery.

Some carriers may require you to ship to your billing address and others may require a signature on delivery, especially with a $930 price for the Note 8. If you don’t see this option, you should be able to walk into Best Buy and place an order in store starting on the 24th.

We don’t expect the Galaxy Note 8 will sell out, so you shouldn’t worry about this process if you want to wait a few days or if you want to simply walk into a carrier or retailer on September 15th and buy one. You don’t need to pre-order to get the free stuff that comes with a Galaxy Note 8.
