Game Launcher & Refined Software

The Galaxy Note 7 runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and will quickly see Android 7.0 Nougat once it arrives. For now though, Samsung added a lot of awesome changes to the software.

Game Launcher is a mode that allows for a better gaming experience. Like interruption-free gaming, live recording or streaming of games, or even playing in a lower resolution to preserve battery life. It debuted on the Galaxy S7, and works great on the Note.

The software is also improved everywhere too. S-Pen features are easier to access, the Secure Folder does neat things, and even the Notification Pulldown bar was overhauled. It's closer to stock Android with a lot of quick controls.

The notification pulldown bar groups similar notifications together now, like we've seen on Android 7.0 Nougat. Then the quick settings on top can be tapped to instantly access those settings witout fumbling into the settings menu. Pull down the bar, tap Wifi, and select a network all in seconds without having to nagivate to the settings menu. Everything is easier to use, streamlined, and as efficient as ever.

These are just a few of many things that makes the Galaxy Note 7 one of the best phones around. It has a wonderful 5.7-inch curved display, a powerful processor with 4GB of RAM, double the storage, the best camera of any Samsung smartphone ever released. Longer battery life with faster charging, a supercharged and more natural S-pen, it's water resistant, and we can add an SD card for more storage. It's everything we wanted from a new Note, and it can be yours on August 19th.
