Gather Your Logins & Passwords

Sooooo. This next tip should go without saying, but we get constant emails and messages about this exact thing.

Before you jump to the beta, make sure you track down all of your login information, passwords and accounts. Having it ready will make the transition go a lot smoother. And while Android will remember some of that, like your WiFi password (once you sign into your Gmail Google account on the phone) it doesn't remember everything.

First of all, you'll need your Gmail to get started with the installation process so track down your info (or the info of the person you're installing for) before you attempt to install Android 11. Well, you don't "need" it to begin, but to actually use your phone and restore everything you'll need your Google login credentials.

If you haven't had to log in to your accounts in awhile, you may have forgotten your login info. If you use a ton of apps on your device, tracking down this information could be extremely annoying. This is especially true if you rely on these apps and services to get through the day. If you use something like LastPass, you're all good.

This is probably the last thing you want to be dealing with during an important day or work or school so make sure you track everything down ahead of time.
