One thing we highly recommend doing before installing Android Oreo on your device, particularly if you're having a good experience on Android Nougat, is diging into feedback from those using Android 8.0 on their phone.

The Galaxy Note 8's Oreo roll out will take several weeks to finish up. It'll be frustrating, but use this delay to your advantage.

Sift into the Android Oreo feedback from your fellow Galaxy Note 8 users and get a feel for the update's improvements, bugs, and performance issues.

Installing a new operating system like Android Oreo on day one is tempting, but you should only do so if you're feeling confident about the move.

If you're seeing lots of negative feedback about Oreo, it might be a good idea to hold out for long-term feedback before making your move.

3/10 – hard drive? Who wrote this? There is no such thing as a phone with a hard drive. You are referring to the phone’s internal storage, as opposed to the external storage (microSD card). But there’s no need to confuse your readers by referring to internal storage as a “hard drive”.

Yes, back up any data not stored on the microSD card. Yes, have all your login credentials ready (this is where a password manager like LastPass can be a real lifesaver). And yes, charge your phone. In fact, the upgrade will download, but will not install unless the phone has at least 80% battery charge. And yes, enjoy the new features!
