Connect to Your Mac and Change Controls

If you are already signed into iCloud on your Mac, the AirPods should be paired, so all you will need to do is choose them in the sound options. This makes jumping back and forth between devices pretty easy. 

When all of this is working, just click on the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar and then on AirPods. Next click on the sound icon in the menu bar and choose AirPods. 

This connects to your Mac and starts playing sound. It will also use the microphone for calls and video chats. You can use both AirPods or use a single AirPod.

If you go to System Preferences, click on Bluetooth and then click on Options next to AirPods you can choose what happens when you use a double tap on the left or right AirPod and you can also control which AirPod the microphone connects to.
