OQO - Current Model 02
As an attendee of Digital Experience, I just got a list of vendors planning to present at Digital Experience emailed to me; and, what do I find but this little nugget of info listing OQO as a presenter, announcing their Model 2+ featuring the 1.86 ghz Intel Atom processor, 2GB of RAM, and an embedded touchscreen. GBM InkShow: Lenovo W700ds, Part 2
In part 1, we gave everyone a quick hands-on look at the Lenovo Thinkpad W700ds, as well as some close-up pictures of the W700ds, docking station, and size comparison to the Lenovo X200 Tablet PC. In this part 2 video InkShow, we go in to a little bit more detail on how the dual screens works, moving applications back and forth, and demonstrate a little bit of inking on the main and secondary secondary screen. In part 3, we’ll get in to the built-in Wacom digitizer, and in part 4 give a tour of this massive digitizing workstation featuring built-in dual screens.
GBM InkShow: Lenovo W700ds Quick Hands On Video, Pictures
Lenovo sent us their brand-spanking new W700ds, complete with dual-screen and Wacom digitizer goodness.
Here is a quick exclusive hands-on video look at the W700ds, specs, as well as pictures. Much more to come later in the week.
GBM InkShow: HP tx2525 Entertainment PC
Over the past week or so, I have been taking a look at the HP tx2525 Entertainment PC. I shot some video of a few features on the new machine that I thought would be of interest to someone wanting to purchase on of these Entertainment PCs. The video starts off with a quick look at the tx2525 compared to the tx2051. After the quick look, I test out the touch screen feel and inking functionality using Windows Journal. Then, since it’s an Entertainment PC, I give a quick look at the HP utility on the machine that is a hub for all media. I play a DVD then move to using my Slingbox to show how easily the application functions. At the end of the video, I use the included remote control to navigate my way around Windows Media Center.
The video is:
- 13 mins in length
- 142mb for direct download
- HP Product Page

GBM InkShow: Fujitsu N7010 and Secondary Display
We don’t look at a lot of 16″ laptops here at GottaBeMobile.com; but, when Fujitsu offered to send me their Lifebook N7010, which features an integrated secondary touch screen, I couldn’t resist a peek.
GBM Podcast #65: Price Drop
We’re back with another podcast after quite a break due to some illness and real life work issues. (Quite honestly, Matt just ate too much turkey at Thanksgiving and is just now recovering.) And, as we come back to GBM Podcast land we’re trying to figure out what is dropping faster the price of Netbooks or the price of gas. Both seem to be racing for some sort of bottom as we near the end of the year.
In addition, we also spend some time talking about Matt’s rebuilding of two HP Tablet PCs (the TX2051 and the TX2525) as well as why we love imperfect platforms so much. We also give a bow to our sponsor, Techsmith, for just releasing Snagit 9.1, a new upgrade with some nifty new features. We have some fun, and we hope you will to. Check out the show notes and download options after the jump.
GBM InkShow: HP TouchSmart Video Review
If I could buy one thing for my family this Christmas, it would be HP’s TouchSmart PC. From the finish of the design to the well implemented touch applications, HP nailed the entire experience. My family and friends have totally gotten into the TouchSmart and will be sad to see me ship this off to our HP Magic Giveaway winner. The experience is solidly done, natural, and sets the bar for what we should come to expect in future all-in-one PCs.

GBM InkShow: HP Mini 1000 Netbook
I have not been a huge fan of Netbooks, mostly due to the size of the keyboard, screen, and being worried about performance. Having a chance to review the HP Mini 1000 changed that for me, though.
The HP Mini 1000 is a fantastic choice for those wanting something more mobile without wanting to break the bank. I’ve been very impressed with the speed, the comfort of the keyboard, and spacious screen. Continue reading

It is no secret that I love Tom Bihn bags. Heck, I like bags in general, but Tom Bihn’s hand-crafted bags have made me very picky about what I slip my Tablet PC in to and carry on my shoulder. Their latest creation, the Checkpoint Flyer, is no different. Read on to watch our video review and find out how you can win your very own Checkpoint Flyer, valued at $220!

GBM InkShow: Windows 7 and N-Trig Pre-Beta Multi-Touch Demo
When N-Trig released their Windows 7 multi-touch drivers today, it was all I could do to finish up some needed work and keep focused on the task at hand. Soon enough, though, I had an opportunity to install the new drivers on my Latitude XT Tablet PC running Windows 7 and record this short InkShow demo.
GBM InkShow: Windows 7 Running on a LS800 Tablet PC
When Microsoft announced that Windows 7 would be able to run on cpu, memory, and resolution challenged devices like Netbooks, I couldn’t wait to give Windows 7 Ultimate a try on a old, and cpu challenged, Tablet PC: Motion Computing’s three year-old LS800 Tablet PC running a 1.2 ghz Intel Pentium M processor, Intel 915GMS chipset, 1 gb of RAM, and a 1.8” 30 gb 4800 RPM hard drive.
