Free PUBG Xbox One Event Arrives Next Weekend

You can play the full PUBG Xbox One game for free on the weekend of April 19th. This is part of the Xbox Live Gold Free Play Days and it is a great way to dip your feet into PUBG on the Xbox One to see if it is something that you want to buy.

This free PUBG weekend includes all of the game modes that are in the paid version of the game and you can even carry over any BattlePoints you earn if you buy the full game. PUBG is still in Early Access on the Xbox One, so the game is under development and not a final product.

Starting at 12:01 AM Pacific on April 19th you can download the full PUBG game to your console and start playing soon after. The download is about 5GB, so it shouldn’t take as long as downloading the full version of many other games. There is no pre-load option available yet.

You will see the trial in the Gold Member area of the Xbox Live dashboard. From there you can start the download and soon after begin to play. There is no cost to play the game this weekend and you don’t need to spend any money on DLC. You will need an Xbox Live Gold membership, which many gamers already have.

PUBG is a battle royale game, similar to Fortnite Battle Royale, but the graphics are more realistic and there is no building in PUBG. While Fortnite is free to play, PUBG is $29.99 on Xbox One.
