Get Acquainted with Android Oreo

Samsung hasn't released a Galaxy Note 8 Oreo beta and we aren't expecting one ahead of its release. That said, you can still get familiar with the Galaxy Note 8's version of Android 8.0 ahead of the release date.

The Galaxy Note 8 Android Oreo update recently leaked giving select users a chance to try the software early. The leaked firmware is about as official as it gets and it includes many of the changes coming with the official version of the software.

If you own the correct model and you have experience downloading early software, you might want to dig in and test Android 8.0 Oreo. If you don't have any experience manually installing software, we recommend getting familiar with Android 8.0 in other ways.

One way to do that is via the Galaxy S8 Android 8.0 Oreo update. The two updates are similar in a lot of ways so make sure you look into the changes Samsung's featured in its Galaxy S8 upgrade

We also recommend getting acquainted with Android 8.1 Oreo.

Samsung's currently testing Android 8.0, but we could see elements of Android 8.1 eventually make their way to the Galaxy Note 8.

You can get familiar with Android 8.1 by looking at our walkthroughs for the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, and the company's Pixel devices.
