If you own an iPad you should be pretty excited about the iOS 11 update. It comes with some tremendous changes for Apple's slates. 

iOS 11 for iPad brings a new dock that lets you easily switch between your favorite applications. It's available on any screen and it's customizable which means you can swap apps in and out. You can also open a second app from the dock and both apps will remain active in Slide Over and Split View.

The new software also brings a new drag and drop function (seen here in this screenshot) and some notable changes to Apple's Pencil including Instant Notes and Instant Markup. 

There's also an incredibly useful tool in Notes called Document Scanner. It automatically senses and scans your document, crops the edges, and gets rid of tilt and glare. 

Apple's also included a noticeable change to the iPad's keyboard. The symbols and numbers that are accessible via the shift function are now visible on the actual keys. You can access the alternate symbols and numbers by pulling down on the key and releasing.

iOS 11 is a massive release for the iPad and it could be an absolute game-changer for many of you.
