Apple Watch 3: 5 Reasons to Wait & 3 Reasons To Stop Waiting

The Apple Watch 3 release date arrived, but it is still hard to find in stock if you want the Cellular model. Here’s a look at why you should wait for the Apple Watch 3 and why you shouldn’t.

Apple now sells many Apple Watch 3 models, and many Apple Watch models, so there are choices to make. You need to consider when you will see deals on the Apple Watch 3, when problems will be fixed and if you are better off with the Apple Watch Series 1 or a used Series 2.

The Apple Watch Series 2 is no longer sold by Apple, but you can still buy the Series 1 without GPS or waterproofing if you don’t want the newest Apple Watch Series 3.  The Nike+ Apple Watch and other special editions are also tempting as you look at buying. The Nike+ Apple Watch 3 is finally on sale, but the LTE model is hard to find.

Apple announced the Apple Watch Series 3 alongside the iPhone 8 and iPhone X in early September and you can buy it in stores today, but there are some issues with LTE, which is one reason you may want to wait. The Apple Watch Series 1 and Series 2 got the watchOS 4.0 update that adds in new features without the need to buy a new watch.

Here are the reasons to wait before you buy the Apple Watch 3, and the reasons to buy one today;

  • Wait for Better Apple Watch 3 Deals
  • Wait for Apple Watch 3 LTE Problems to Stop
  • Wait for More Sensors and Smartbands
  • Wait for a Free Apple Watch From Insurance
  • Wait for the Apple Watch 4
  • Don’t Wait for New Editions
  • Don’t Wait for New Bands
  • Don’t Wait for Apple Watch Android Support

You can spend a long time waiting for the next version of a product to arrive, but there are still some good reasons to wait before you buy the Apple Watch 3. This is what you need to consider.

Wait for Better Apple Watch 3 Deals

The Apple Watch 3 is brand new, but we could see our first major Apple Watch 3 Deals arrive during Black Friday. Traditionally we see big gift card bonuses available from Target and Best Buy that cut the price of the new Apple Watch significantly.

If you don't want to pay full price, you should at least wait to see what happens during November. While some of these deals will require you to go stand in line, we typically see a few that are online so you don't necessarily need to give up on Thanksgiving dinner or sleeping in on Black Friday if you want a deal.

We saw Kohl's offer $150 in Kohl's Cash when you bought the Appel Watch Series 2 during Black Friday and we could see a repeat this year on the GPS models without LTE.
