Published

on

Star Wars Battlefront 2 went through a beta and rigorous testing behind the scenes, but problems have made it into the the game’s final release.

DICE’s new entry into the long-running Battlefront series is a huge game with a ton of moving parts. The developer got a lot right, but there are some kinks it will need to work out as we push away from the game’s release date.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 players are complaining about a variety of bugs, download issues, and performance problems on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Windows PC.

Some of these bugs and balance issues will require server-side or client-side patches from DICE. Others can be fixed from the comfort of your favorite gaming chair.

In this guide we’ll show you how to fix the most common Star Wars Battlefront 2 problems. Our walkthrough will take you through some fixes for download issues, stuttering, connection problems, launch issues, and more.

Is Battlefront 2 Down?

If you’re unable to connect to a Star Wars Battlefront 2 server make sure everything is running properly over at EA, Sony, and Microsoft.

Check EA’s Help account on Twitter for information and you also might check Down Detector to see if others are seeing similar issues.

How to Fix Slow Star Wars Battlefront 2 Downloads

If your Star Wars Battlefront 2 download suddenly gets stuck, pause the download and then start the download again.

If your game is downloading slowly, you can try pausing and un-pausing the download after 15 seconds or so to see if that speeds up the process. This has worked for us and others in the past.

If you’re downloading via a wireless Wi-Fi connection, try connecting your console or Windows PC to your router with an ethernet cord.

If you share your home with someone or you have a ton of devices active, make sure you pause other downloads and streaming so other devices aren’t hogging your bandwidth.

If you don’t have enough space on your console or PC, you’ll need to delete files or attach an external hard drive to your device.

Remember, a game might require space on your internal hard drive, even if you’re installing it to your external drive. If you need an external hard drive, here are the best Xbox One hard drives and best PS4 hard drives we’ve come across.

What to Do If Star Wars Battlefront 2 Won’t Launch

If the Star Wars Battlefront 2 refuses to launch on your Windows PC you can try reinstalling Origin. You can download the latest version of Origin from Origin.com.

If the game won’t launch on your PlayStation 4 or Xbox One, restart your console. In fact, you might try hard resetting it. Here’s how you do that on the Xbox One. On the PlayStation 4, you’ll want to hold down the power button until it boots into Safe Mode.

Missing Yoda Star Card

If you didn’t receive your Epic Lightsaber Mastery Star Card for Yoda and you pre-ordered the physical version of the game before 3PM UTC on October 9th, you need to get in contact with EA. Make sure you have your proof of purchase handy.

  1. While you’re in the game, go to your Home screen.
  2. Select Options
  3. Select Video.
  4. Scroll to Enable DirectX 12 and toggle the switch to Off.

If you’re unable to find a server or game when your console is coming right out of rest mode, reset your PS4 or Xbox One.

If everything appears to be fine over at EA, check the PlayStation Network status right here and the Xbox Live server status right here for problems. These services occasionally go down.

If you’re suddenly disconnected from a server on the Windows PC, make sure that you’re still signed into Origin. This could solve the issue.

If you’re signed into Origin and/or you’re positive all of the proper servers are up and running you’ll want to check your own connection. To do that, make sure you are signed into PlayStation Network (PSN) or Xbox Live then follow these steps:

If the game still doesn’t work you might need to get in touch with your internet provider or with the company that makes your router. You also might check for an update to your router.

  • Restart your router.
  • Use a wired connection instead of a wireless connection.
  • If you have to use wireless, move your console closer to the router.

How to Fix Battlefront 2 Error Code 327

Star Wars Battlefront 2 players are also complaining about error code 327. This also appears to be a connection issue.

EA’s servers are notoriously shitty, if you really think unplugging my router and plugging it back in will fix connection issues that only occur while playing this game, your a complete idiot. If you ask me EA is the one with a lot of work to do. I was boycotting this terrible game but it was given to me as a gift, I recommend that no one buy this title until it is labeled “early access” and discounted or don’t buy it until it is fixed
