As for iOS 13 itself, it's a huge upgrade for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. They don't get everything Apple's included in the update (for instance they miss out on Memoji Stickers), but the change log is still substantial. 

Highlights include Dark Mode, the new swipe keyboard, important updates to the Photos app, and key improvements to Siri.
