Apple now includes an easy way to shut down your iPhone or iPad if the power button is broken.
There is a new option at the bottom of the General Settings screen that allows you to shut down your iPhone or iPad without pressing a power button. This is super handy on older devices like the iPhone 5s that may be limping along with a broken power button until you upgrade to a new phone.
