The iPhone 7 release date is a week away, but you need to prepare for the iPhone 7 pre-order date now.
iPhone 7 Pre-Order Date
The iPhone 7 pre-orders started Friday, September 9th, allowing you to place your iPhone order now and not need to stand in a long line on the iPhone 7 release date.
You can pre-order the iPhone 7 on your iPhone using the Apple Store app or on your computer. You can also pre-order the iPhone 7 direct from major carriers and at retailers like Best Buy and even Costco.
You need to make your iPhone 7 pre-order online for Apple and carriers, but you can choose in store pickup through some options.
AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile & Verizon iPhone 7 Pre-Orders
All of the major carriers are now taking iPhone 7 pre-orders. You can login to your account and place a pre-order if you are eligible to upgrade. We breakdown the individual details — including checking iPhone upgrade eligibility below.
- How to Buy the AT&T iPhone 7
- How to Buy the Verizon iPhone 7
- How to Buy the T-Mobile iPhone 7
- How to Buy the Sprint iPhone 7
If you go to AT&T, Sprint, Verizon or T-Mobile you generally get different options to upgrade and if you are on payment plans you may need to go through your carrier to finish up a final payment.
Keep in mind that Apple sometimes offers faster delivery options for select models while carriers offer faster deliver for others. Some models are pushed out to November, so check both places before you pre-order.
iPhone 7 In Store Pickup Reservations
You can make an iPhone 7 pre-order for in store pickup. This allows you to reserve a time in line at your local Apple Store to walk in and pickup your new iPhone. You don’t need to use the iPhone Annual Upgrade plan to do this, but you can use that as an option.
You need to login and pre-order the iPhone 7 through Apple. Once you choose the iPhone, carrier and color you will be able to click on Check Availability for the storage size you want next to pickup.
Enter your zip code and then you will see a list of stores that are available to choose for pickup. You cannot do this for Black or Jet Black on most carriers.
This put you in a special line at the Apple Store and guaranteed you the iPhone model that you chose.
