The LG G2 Android 4.4 KitKat update has been rolling out to various users and carriers over the past two months, bringing with it loads of changes, performance improvements, and updating the device to the latest version of Google’s Android.
AT&T in the United States was first to issue Android 4.4.2 KitKat for the LG G2, and since we’ve seen the same tasty update arrive for T-Mobile, Sprint, Canadian users, and finally this past week for Verizon Wireless. However, we’re getting various reports flooding in that this update isn’t going as smooth as we initially had hoped.

The new Motorola has adopted a strategy to be one of the first manufacturers to update its smartphones to the latest versions of Google’s Android. The Moto G Android 4.4.2 KitKat update is a prime example.

Android 4.4 KitKat offers tons of improvements and new features on Android, but we’re hearing a few horror stories from Nexus 4 owners experiencing problems and bugs since updating to the already late software.
The update to Android 4.4 KitKat for the Nexus 4 hasn’t been extremely smooth. After Apple had declared the purple haze or tint occurring with images captured with the 8-megapixel camera on the iPhone 5 being ‘normal,’ it looks like Consumer Reports may have justified Apple’s claims. HTC and Verizon are well aware of the random reboot issues that have been plaguing the HTC ThunderBolt since it was updated earlier this month. In fact, it appears that Verizon is on the verge of releasing a fix for the issues as its apparently ready and will head to Verizon employess with ThunderBolt’s first and then to the general public if all goes smoothly.
In addition, it appears that some ThunderBolt owners affected by the issue have been told by customer service to waltz into a retail store and swap their ThunderBolt plagued with reboot issues for a brand new one.
