With watchOS 6.2.6 or higher, you can use the Apple Watch 5 as a key for your BMW. This is a new feature that works with many BMW models supported, but they need to be built after July 1, 2020. The supported models are the 1,2,3,4,5,6,8, X5, X6, X7, M5, M8, X5 M, X6 M, and the Z4. This works with iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone SE (2nd generation), and the Apple Watch Series 5.
