Amazon Coins is a new virtual currency that Amazon hopes users will use in place of other payments methods for all the apps and games in the Amazon Appstore. Users can use Coins to pay for their apps as well as virtual goods inside those apps. First, however, users have to buy Coins.

About a week after its debut on iPhone and iPad Temple Run 2 is now available to Android devices in the Google Play Store and the Amazon Appstore.
Temple Run 2 is free in both app stores, as it is in the iOS App Store. Like the original Temple Run the only things users have to pay for are in-game items. Those items include a coin multiplier, collections of coins to buy upgrades and collections of gems to save the runner and continue on a run.

While the game will come to Android next week, there is no word on a Windows Phone release. The original Temple Run should come to Windows Phone in the near future as Microsoft announced it at the Windows Phone 8 launch in October, 2012.

After a few weeks on beta, Flipboard for Android is finally available for all users in a variety of app stores including the Google Play Store, Amazon Appstore, and Barnes & Noble Nook Store.
For those unfamiliar with the app, Flipboard is essentially a personalized news magazine for smartphones and tablets. The service aggregates stories from the user’s social networks like Twitter, Facebook, and SoundCloud as well as RSS feeds from Google Reader. The app also has a number of publications it can draw from, ranging from magazines like The New Yorker and Esquire to shows like The Colbert Report and sites like BuzzFeed.

This means that Kindle Fire owners can finally start drawing with their friends, something that iOS and owners of other Android devices have been doing for quite some time now.
